3Ply disposable mask means surgical or dental mask that isn’t approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Korea Food and Drug Administration) in Korea, though it has good quality and features like other approved surgical masks.
Many manufactures don’t want to be approved by KFDA, because they can’t export the approved surgical(or dental) masks.
The Korean government has prohibited exporting health mask but not the exporting industrial mask.
But most Korean people know this fact and use a non-approved mask especially in hot summer days.
Of course, they have good test report and quality also is the same with an approved surgical mask.
3ply means that mask is made of 3 plies of spun-bond or assembly of spun bond and melt blown filer.
So it has the function of blocking dust and some sized droplets.
Of course, it is cheaper than the KF94 mask.
